Coffee with Linda and Adrienne.
Gymnastics with Carson.
Soccer with Sophia.
And a shopping trip to Green Acres Nursery. Thais was a consultant for not only me, but also Leah and Jeff.

Friday travel
This morning, Thais and I took Carson to Milestones
then took the Capitol Corridor train to Berkeley and Lyft to our favorite fabric store.

We had lunch at Toss Noodle Bar,
and little window shopping on 4th St before taking the train back to Sacramento. We picked up Carson and went directly to Avery’s Little League game.
Fun day!
Westfield Village Bike Club
This was my last bike club meeting at Westfield Village with its most faithful member, AngelLillie. I was so happy Deb Banks rode with us.

Riding with AngelLillie has been such a delightful experience that I wanted our last meeting to be special, so the three of us rode 2 miles to Joe’s Crab Shack in Old Sacramento.

Molly Wagner from WALKSacramento joined us.

On our way back,
I noticed some smoke, we stopped, evaluated, and called 911 …
a small crowd gathered,
the fire department arrived,
and put out the fire.
After being asked a few questions by a fireman, we rode on to where AngelLillie lived. I smiled as I listened to AngelLillie invent various scenarios about being heroines on bicycles, riding around, saving the community. When we said our final goodbyes, one of AngelLillies’s neighbors came by. She said, “We just saved all of West Sacramento from being burned down.” Smile. I will miss you AngelLillie.
Project Ride Smart – the LAST day
Sue Schooley and Lorge Quant presented the day’s activities. Not a street ride but other fun things you can do on a bicycle.
My helpers for the Slow Race for one class: repeatedly they raced to shout “On your mark, get set, go slow!”
The person who crossed the finish line LAST without touching a foot to the ground was the winner.

Lorge did Rock Dodge (with mixed success):
Sue did the Bean Drop.
Mother’s Day gift
Back flip
Four Seasons Westshore to Steamers
It was an 8 am start and it was a bit chilly but the rain wasn’t supposed to start until the afternoon. Three brave souls showed up and off we rode to Old Sacramento.
After a half-hour break and a little snack, we rode back. Miles = 18

The best testimonial came from Peter in an email later that day, “I think I could now find my way to Old Sac on that route, which I hope to try with a biking partner sometime soon.” Success!
Happy Birthday Thais
Project Ride Smart
at H Allen Hight. Week 2. Monday and Tuesday were blacktop drills. Wednesday was the first day of street rides.
And then it began raining. Periodic showers but all 4 classes had some rain to deal with. My group found a skate park at Wild Rose Park that also made a fun bike path.
Ride leaders: Christy, Yolanda, Doug, Deanna, Dana, and Veronica.

Friday. Sunshine!
Mostly.
