One of the guidelines for trail riding is not to block the trail. But sometimes, you have to slow down, stop and appreciate what’s ahead:

And the dog was not on a leash. And no one moved despite a ringing bell.
Tuesday: Thais’ work had a “welcome back to the office” celebration this morning, although employees may choose to work from home.

Today while riding I saw the runner ahead of me come to a quick stop and bend over. I slowed down. She rescued a turtle from the middle of the trail! She decided to put the turtle in the shade closer to the canal which runs along the trail.
Another feel-good moment on a bike ride.
My calendar abbreviation for Thursday at Merrilyn’s is Th@M. Now there’s a new consistent abbreviation for Thursday at Jim & Lucy’s.
Pete suggested we do the Lucy Ride on Wednesday which goes past Jim & Lucy’s house. He brought carrots for the horse.
Today we went downtown to see some of the murals. We stopped at Mike’s Bike’s to check Pete’s tire pressure.
