Rehearsal
I’m helping Bob and Joann Batten at Calvary with the children’s Christmas program on Dec 24 at Calvary Lutheran Church. Joann wrote the story and Bob is working on many songs and solos. I’m working on the costumes – probably a dream job in another lifetime. This is the first of two Saturday morning rehearsals.

Marna, Sandy, and I met at Adrienne’s for soup and bread.
Then we drove to Sandy’s for dessert.

Always a fun time. Crostini with ricotta, bacon and honey and Sausage-stuffed mushrooms.

Holiday home tour
Seven homes in my community opened their doors for tours on Wednesday evening. All of them also served snacks and drinks. Adrienne and I walked the route.

This is a second league that Avery is playing in.
I also delivered a felt pennant I made based on a design by Thais. It’s a gift for Sophia’s teacher whose classroom theme is Camp WannaLearn.
Field trip to Chico
With Adrienne. Our usual stops included Maisie Jane’s, Chico Candy Store, and Made in Chico. We had lunch at Broadway Heights.
On the way home, I had a sore throat. Always the first sign of a cold coming on. Darnit. (Since this is actually being written in early January, that cold was low-grade and quite manageable for the next 2 weeks. Then, on December 26, it really bloomed into something ugly. I was IN bed for the next 6 days.)
