Our family Easter bunny is Chuck, Phyl’s brother.

It was time to reposition the sprinklers to the increasing dripline.
Sadly on April 9, Dick’s mother passed away. She was a vibrant 90 years old. Today in Palo Alto the family had a memorial service.

Today I was asked to go by Dry Creek Ranch House and take some pictures of two tractors in front the the house and rose garden to use on promotional items for Farm & Tractor Days. Ralph Hants took me up in a lift.
Here is the best picture I took. It will go on thank-you plaques for sponsors and mouse pads.
Today we went the the FINAL appointment with Mom’s colon cancer doctor. She is cancer-free.
A few of you have commented that you like seeing what’s been created in the Sewing Cave. This is a very large beach bag for Pat in Lihue Hawaii. She likes black and white, we picked out 12 different black/white fabrics and the lining when I was there last January dealing with the boat disaster.

A bigger pocket on the other side and an easy snap for keys.
From the scraps a few zippered pouches. Two of them will go inside Pat’s beach bag as a bonus.
And a couple of t-shirts and few pair of capris for me for the warmer weather.
The walnut trees at Justin’s are flowering.
These are catkins, the male part of the walnut tree ie. “a slim cylindrical flower cluster with inconspicuous or no petals.”
They are wind pollinators and have been known to pollinate trees a mile away. Once their job is done, they fall to the ground,
and, wah-la, baby walnuts are born.

but had to add this note here. Janice Bierman and I worked together in the 1970s at Rio Linda Elementary. We had the best time and she was one of the best para-educators I ever worked with. What a wonderful surprise to see her again! Beside her is husband Carl.
Dead lift body weight = 29 in one minute.
Pull-ups: as many as possible = 8.
35 pound kettle bell for 3 minutes = 94.
The last one was grueling, I thought. Each length was 25 yards. Flip a 150 pound tire.
Return with a 73-pound atlas ball.
Farmer walk carrying 90 pounds, go down, turn around slowly to avoid losing control of the weights,
and come back.
Take the atlas ball back.
And finally, flip the tire back to the start.
Done! Sheesh.
My daughter is a stud-woman.
I was in grades 7-8 here in beginning in 1960. Then it was called Rio Linda Jr High School. The name has changed and now serves grades 5-8. Grades K-4 are located down the street at Dry Creek Elementary.
Local organizations were invited to have an information table in the main hallway.
Doug and I manned a table for the Rio Linda-Elverta Historical Society.
We managed to lure 12 people into taking our little quiz. How did we do that? A piece of candy if they simply filled out an answer sheet.
Extra helpers. What looks like a giant red rubber band is actually an unraveled fruit roll-up.

We were at Starbuck’s, Dick was buying a bus ticket online so he could go to Palo Alto (his mother was in the hospital)
when I looked over and spotted this. I couldn’t tell what it was from this angle. I walked around to the right
and was so surprised to see a gigantic face.
