I should have arrived yesterday but my flight was one of the 1000 flights canceled on Monday. I was rebooked for this morning and got to Butte around noon. Dave and Phyl picked me up.
It’s cold! 9 degrees or -12 celsius. It will be all indoor activities for me.
Well, there haven’t been many. It’s been raining a lot. One text I received with the number of miles ridden said it was “too cold to take a picture.” However, one of our members just rode an e-bike for the first time. Carmen rode 20 miles up Mt Tohivea to Belvedere Lookout Pt on the island of Moorea, French Polynesia.
Ade, Linda and I all see the same hair care person, Whitney, who is currently on the brink of delivering baby #4. Linda and Ron really enjoy dog-sitting for Whitney, you can see Freddie at Linda’s feet. Freddie is a cocker-doodle mix (cockadoodle?), adorable and quite at home, preferably between Linda’s feet.
Just in case you think I only ride my bike, I have completed a few projects in between everything else. The following picture is a finished WIP – Work in Progress. If you sew or craft, you may have a few started but not finished items. I started collecting pins when I started bicycle touring in 2001. Since I can’t envision any more great cycling adventures in my future, I decided to conclude this project, 20 years later.
A garland of pie slices for Thanksgiving:
This WIP is a tree skirt started last year then put into a closet for 10 months, and finally improved significantly for the December 3 party (lol-no one even noticed it’s unfinished state). Maybe in 2022 it will be finished. Maybe.
