Backyard tour

Back on June 29, from 4-8, six homes in the community opened their backyards. I did not take a single picture – darnit. Access to my backyard meant coming in through the front door.
Avery helped with a little ice cream sundae bar. I made about 80 pre-scooped cups and got rid of about 60 of them. Adrienne was also a big help. Through the sliding glass door …

On the other side of the house:

Peter Price, Phil Jackson, Pat Johnson

Tuesday morning, July 9. From Four Seasons Lodge to the Red Bud Trail, then Natomas Regional Park and Jack Rabbit Trail. 12.4 miles roundtrip. More fun!

Peter Price, Ray Krause

Leading these are rides are getting me out on my bike. Hurray!

Fourth of July at Four Seasons Westshore

The biggest event ever held at Four Seasons Westshore. 250 people! The first 100 tickets sold out in less than 24 hours.
At my table: Adrienne and Kathy (standing), Silvana, Judy, Leslie.
I snapped this picture just before the guy just behind Ade, with a smile on his face, did a hilarious photo bomb! I should have pressed the button a few seconds later.

50th anniversary party

Congratulations Bill and Ann Brooks.
Family and friends – a lot of us worked together as teachers in the Rio Linda Union School District – which no longer exists, it blended into Twin Rivers Unified.

Backyard Tour at Four Seasons Westshore

Next Saturday from 4-8 pm, six homeowners will open their backyards to visitors from the community. My backyard will be one of them. This evening, the six homeowners toured each other’s backyards.

1. Clayton Blakely
The designer, Clayton’s mother:

2. Denise and Cheryl Chapel

3. Janet Galliani

4. Me – you’ll see pictures in a future post.

5. Kirk and Holly Talon

6. Paul and Lauri Ponzelli

We hung out a while on the Ponzelli’s patio, Kirk played the guitar and sang a very special original song.

A totally fun pre-event!

San Giovanni Day

This year, Adrienne, Linda Chaix, Kathy Wymore, and Sandi Guarello came over to help make nocino. I thought I took several time-lapse pictures but … apparently I didn’t. Darn! We had breakfast, made nocino and tasted three previous “vintages”. Adrienne’s face was probably the funniest – I don’t think she liked nocino very much.
