Brenda, BarbaraL and I rode in early Sunday morning to meet at Midtown Trek for SABA’s social ride.

Pierson was the ride leader:

Sonya’s Scout troop did an ABCQuick Check presentation – they did a great job:

A stop at the Bicycle Kitchen – one of the most generous and worthwhile bicycle-related businesses in Sacramento. Totally supported by volunteers, a great source for diy repairs, inexpensive used parts, and used bicycles.

Great ride along the ARBT to Watt Avenue where we crossed the American River.

There is another excellent paved trail on the other side going back toward Sac State.

The route continued along Elvas Ave, through McKinley Village to Sutter’s Landing Park. When we got to C & 20th Streets, the three of us peeled off, took the Sacramento Northern Bike Trail to the ARBT to Discovery Park and home. Whew – about 40 miles today.
