On Wednesday. We were on the same wavelength: two shrimp appetizers. Perfectly roasted shrimp with an enhanced cocktail sauce and shrimp/black bean/avocado salsa with Scoops.

Postscript: I had to go at the last minute to get a Serrano or jalapeño pepper from the grocery store. The selection was terrible. I got the last two tiny Serranos and went to the register .. without the 4-digit code you need to check out. I explained my problem and the clerk said, “Oh, you can have those.” Quite reasonable I would say:

Salmon taquitos with avocado cream and Mushroom and prosciutto crostini.

On Tuesday. We did something a bit different this month. I brought two savories – Sausage wonton stars and (super easy) bacon gouda cheese and crackers.

Merrilyn made lemon bars.

on Friday. Crab cakes with remoulade and Couscous chicken avocado salad with focaccia toasts.

On Friday. Our unplanned common ingredients this month were corn and bell peppers. Creamy polenta triangles and cilantro lime chicken to put in little tortilla cups. And Josh.

on Friday. We were definitely on the same wave length this month, both of us used puff pastry and carmelized onions.

Creamy cranberry dip with crackers, Onion dip with veggies and potato chips, and Candied walnuts. And wine.

Merrilyn always sends me home with some leftovers, the tomato tart was as delicious cold as it was warm. This time, I also took home a container of Italian Wedding Soup (Ina Garten’s recipe) – so delicious. Thank you Merrilyn.

Thursday at Merrilyn’s. Hash brown quiche cups and Bibb lettuce and shrimp wraps.

Always delicious and great company, to say the least.
