Merrilyn always sends me home with some leftovers, the tomato tart was as delicious cold as it was warm. This time, I also took home a container of Italian Wedding Soup (Ina Garten’s recipe) – so delicious. Thank you Merrilyn.

Thursday at Merrilyn’s. Hash brown quiche cups and Bibb lettuce and shrimp wraps.

Always delicious and great company, to say the least.

on Saturday. I came home yesterday (Friday) to a warm refrigerator and a thawing freezer. Within 15 minutes of sending texts to 3 neighbors, the meat was at Gerald and Viki’s, everything else was split between Elaine and Terri. I have the best neighbors and friends! This meant that I had to take the easiest-possible snack to Merrilyn’s: cherries and cheddar-flavored chips. Phyl brought Dot’s pretzels. Merrilyn made an artichoke dip.

on Wednesday. Lime-cilantro chicken for the tortilla scoops and Crab cheesecake from the Zelle family cookbook.

Simple, quick, delicious was this month’s theme as it turned out. We never plan anything. Loaded potato slices and sesame-coated cream cheese in a pool of soy sauce with crackers with a very good Justin wine.
