Saddle Up Saturday
A group rode from Four Seasons Westshore and a couple of other cyclists from the east side of I-5 met at Bella Bru. Arriving at 11 am on a Saturday morning meant a 45-minute wait for an outside table. But it was well worth it. Great food and good company. The first in-person get together following the first Better on Bikes class. A very nice turnout. L-R: Avelina, Amy, Maria, Kerri, Sergio, Cheryl, Barbara, me. Cheryl and Barbara were in the BoB1 classes and have been riding for the past 11 months. Cheryl has ridden over 4800 miles!!
Saddle Up Saturday
The goal was to meet at Bad Bakers between 9:45-10:15. Cheryl, Leo, Barbara and I left from Four Seasons Westshore at 9:00.

Project Ride Smart
The last day with the final two 5th grade classes.
Two groups of great kids. One of the fun attributes of Project Ride Smart at Natomas Park Elementary is a parallel dirt trail with a narrow path, bumps, wet areas, a hill with a little mud. Students have the option to ride it, most choose to do it laughing and/or screaming all the way.

Better on Bikes 3
For the past week or so, I’ve been getting ready to teach another round of Better on Bikes. The class filled up quickly – a very good sign. And 6 of the people in Arlete’s BIG are taking the class!
Project Ride Smart
At Natomas Park Elementary. I got to ride with the Blue group – what a lucky draw! These kids KNOW how to ride. They give hand signals, can complete a proper left turn and navigate a 4-way stop following the right-of-way rules. I worked with these two classes on Monday and today.
At the end of the day. All the bikes are tightly packed along one wall. Gina and Deanna are debriefing on the final day of Project Ride Smart.
We had many volunteers so all skill levels were well-covered.

Saturday October 2. Rupert, Jeorgianna, and I met up on the east side of I-5 and rode a loop to Pete’s Restaurant and Brewhouse to have lunch. Each of us paid separately and each will receive a $15 gift card to a local restaurant from Jibe as part of their Saddle Up Saturdays promotion.
