Each recipe of Rustic Dinner Rolls made 16, so two batches on successive days should have been enough. However, taste testing revealed the rolls were really delicious! On the third day day, I made another batch.

Project Ride Smart
At H Allen Hight. An early morning start!
I was so happy to ride my bike the 3 miles to work, at least on Monday and Tuesday. Riding with 7 am commute traffic required vigilance.
We got rained out on Wednesday and Thursday, Friday was a beautiful day. In class, helmets on and personal safety check:
ABCQuick Check:
We divided the students into 2 large groups with 2 LCIs and a parent volunteer and went for a fun ride in Natomas Regional Park.
I really liked NOT being in charge, I just showed up and did what I was told – ahhh.
After work each day, I worked on a mini-quilt for a friend, Sue Schooley, who gave me a bunch of commemorative t-shirts from the annual Roseville Bikefest that she organizes. Also, a little zippered bag with the scraps.

Maria’s at Lake Wildwood
This week
Ahhh, a bit of a slow down. I volunteered on Monday at
where Pollyanna and Deanna were co-leading Project Ride Smart. Usually two people have to fit 30 bicycle helmets in about 30 minutes. That’s 2 minutes/student, you’ve got to be FAST! It was still fast-paced today with three of us.
On Thursday, I worked helping with blacktop drills. Afterward, I took Sophia to her soccer practice.
Eek – a bit of a strain on this little chair. Compact iPad game play.
Waist Watchers the Musical
Saturday night
Thais and Lenin went to dinner and I got to watch all three grandchildren – yay! Resting after sending many cars down the race track:
Big mess ahead:
Blowing slime bubbles and watching TV at the same time:
Avery wanted to chop some walnuts but he wasn’t strong enough to press down on the plunger. “Wait Grandma, I know what to do!”
And this kitchen tool was renamed the Butt Nut Chopper.
