Luckily, we were about 2 miles from home when the bolt that attached the seat to the seat post snapped. Jane was able to ride home standing up – amazingly strong legs is what that is!

Breathe Bike Trek

I was up early this morning to get ready for this annual charity bike ride with the Good Jibes team. We met in Penryn at 7:45 for our team picture.

Back row: Charlie, William, Kathy, Bruce, Diane, Dani, Jonathan. Front row: Michelle, Amal, me, Steven, Becky, Mellissa. I rode the short route which turned out to be 22 miles because I missed a couple of turns and had to backtrack. It was way more hilly than riding around N Natomas and Sacramento – challenging but fun.

Lunch with friends

Deer Lodge MT

Seeing family – Dave and Phyl – really stirred up my homesickness. It’s so beautiful here. The view from my upstairs bedroom window:

In addition to getting the mail at the post office, Phyl and I took a little tour of Deer Lodge: the quilt store, New to You where Phyl volunteers once/week, a new bike trail – the sign is there, but the riding surface looks quite rough.
