After breakfast, we walked to the bike rental place and picked up our bikes. We rode back to our hotel, picked up our suitcases and awkwardly walked a very short distance to the train station.

So many beautiful villages along the route. And lots of long dark tunnels. Tonight’s hotel was next to the train station which was nice because it was raining and we were pushing the bikes and pulling the suitcases. View from my window.

we went a walk during a lull in the rain to see Bordalsgjelet.

From the bridge crossing the river.

We started walking uphill, it was steep at times. Looking back at the bridge we crossed.

Bordal Gorge was formed during the last ice age because of its soft phyllite rock.

The hotel restaurant was upscale (to me) and served local ingredients. Smoked salmon appetizer with horseradish cream, caviar, pickled apple, and rye bread crumbles.

First time eating goat .. and probably our last – we all made a good effort though.
