VBS was only 4 hours/day (although my mind was occupied with thoughts or preparations for many more hours), so there was still plenty of time to watch Sophia and Avery on Tuesday and Thursday afternoon. Avery built a transformer Lego with wheels and wings. He demonstrated all its many functions.Carson is now able to roll over! Sophia created this sign so you don’t have to lock the bathroom door. When you go in, just pull in the sign with you. It hangs outside when no one is inside.

Meanwhile Dad practiced his chipping for tomorrow’s golf tournament.The cheering section:

This week, Sophia had golf camp at Teal Bend Golf Course. She was really hoping for an opportunity to drive a golf cart, but I think this is as close as she got.Meanwhile Avery did some butterfly stalking. Although he’s a fast runner, he’s still slower than butterflies.

Avery thinks my arms are soft and squishy, especially under the upper arm. As I buckled him into his car seat, he said, “Grandmas are squishy.” Yes I am. We were off to Old Sacramento today after summer school. I was curious how two passengers on a Yuba Mundo would work. We had to stop at the turtle place.At Miller Park, the fire department was getting ready for drills on the water.Everyone’s getting more comfortable on the Yuba Mundo, me too.Back at the house, Sophia practiced selfies with my camera.

Sophia and Avery are taking golf lessons at William Land Park every Saturday morning.Carson’s favorite part:After golf, it’s off to gymnastics.Meanwhile, in E Nicolaus.This year’s batch of baby pigs arrived this week.Annuals planted by Justin.

Today, I picked up only Sophia at Leah’s and went for a little adventure in Old Sacramento. We rented a Yuba Mundo bicycle – a great family bicycle – at Practical Cycle.We rode to Miller Park. Along the way, turtle-spotting:Back in Old Sac, bird-tracking:Tree-rushing:Posing once again for Grandma:

Sophia, Avery, and cousin are taking swim lessons at Dolphin Swim Center for two weeks.
