Tuesday, basketball practice for Avery.
He made almost every basket he shot!
After ukelele on Thursday, Sophia showed me how she’s been reading a book about taking care of cats. She preparing for the day when her parents let her have a pet-sometime before Carson’s 2nd birthday. Which means Thais and Lenin only have 11 months and 2 weeks to figure out how to dissuade her. Good luck.
About to wake up after getting home from daycare.

Career day
At St Ignatius, you dress up as your career choice. Avery was a paleontologist and I’m sure his specialty would be finding dinosaur fossils. Sophia was a pop star. She told me a couple of other students came as singers. Just singers actually. A pop star is different. You have to have style and attitude to be a pop star.
Carson’s first birthday
Church and open house
After church, there was open house. But first a stop at the cousin Jeffery’s fundraising table – every 8th grader adopts a charity and raises money during the school year. Jeffery’s is the First Tee Program.

Searching for the cat
I took Sophia for her ukulele lesson this afternoon. We were early so she wanted to go look for the friendly cat who followed us one afternoon several months ago. I thought this was a long shot, we don’t even know which house the cat belongs to. Up one side of the street
and down the other. I told her any smart cat would be inside where it was warm.
And then …
Success!!
