Ride to Davis
Five of us rode in from N Natomas and met the SABA team at the Tree House Cafe in W Sacramento on Saturday morning.

We rode W Capitol Ave, with great bicycle lane markings, to the Yolo Causeway along I-80. Three miles of loud traffic noise on your left side.

Flat tire #1: Laurie. She had everything needed to change out the tube.

Flat tire #2 was … my bike. And I don’t carry anything to fix a flat. While the group continued on to the US Bicycling Hall of Fame, I walked to a nearby bike shop who fixed my flat tire quickly.

We all met at the train station and took the 12:43 train back to Sacramento.

Great ride! Lots of fun and we rode over 30 miles. Me, Agueda, BarbaraL, Brenda, Laurie:

Huge thanks to Pierson, Deb and Jeremiah from SABA.

City Council meeting
The Active Transportation Commission presented their recommendations to the City Council Tuesday evening. Four commissioners were there to support Chairperson Ali Doerr-Westbrook’s presentation. And it was noted by Mayor Steinberg, the Council doesn’t often see 20 public comments in support of active transportation. That’s a good sign.
