Terri, Elaine and I went to Obo for lunch.

Excellent food!

Later in the afternoon, I picked up a pizza and went to Jim and Lucy’s for dinner.

The ride leader for Saturday’s ride around the airport was ill so I stepped in to lead the ride. It started at Blackbird Park, about 2/10th of a mile from my house – sweet. Lorge, Harjap, Jim, Althea, Vik, Nav, Galib:

Thank you Teal Bend Golf Course for being a great rest stop about halfway through our ride.

Garden Highway:

Great ride. 20 miles.
Avery played a song he learned recently, a lullaby. He can play quite a few songs, all from memory.

He’s also really good at Block Blast, a currently popular video game, and learning to speak Japanese using online resources and tutoring from a bi-lingual friend. Flag football and basketball are winding down. Next comes golf and volleyball. And finishing 7th grade.
Today on my ride, I took pictures of vehicles parked in bike lanes. This is illegal but there’s no enforcement.

Not only was this truck parked in the bike lane, it was also right next to a No Stopping Any Time sign.

And then .. the truck pulled ahead to the left and stopped in the space with the crossed lines.

The driver got out, walked back toward me, and !! apologized for blocking my lane. He asked what I was doing and I explained. He apologized again and asked if he was going to get a ticket. No, but I did share that City buses are now equipped with AI-guided cameras and are now issuing citations when bus stops and nearby bike lanes are blocked.
