Thank you Lennore for organizing a bike ride for the beginners we’ve taught how to ride a bike. Uugii learned at Jibe’s Learn to Ride. Erin came to a recent SABA Learn 2 Ride class at REI, she’s also a friend of Lennore’s.
Lennore is an excellent instructor and a great mentor for new riders.
I think my mom and dad are smiling up in heaven right now because their granddaughter and great-grandchildren are raising chickens. These three chickens, each specially selected, will live a very good life. They certainly have luxury accommodations. Hello Ruby, Gertrude, and Lois.
Today’s class was all kids. The boy on the right learned to ride within minutes.
Two participants came back for a second lesson and were pedaling fairly quickly. A little practice at home over the past week and they were set.
This Cub Scout troop was working on their Bicycling Badge. First step, learn to ride. One of them already knew how to ride but came to class to help the others.

I love it when Maria needs to make a Costco run. She drives to Marysville and shops for an hour or so, then we meet at Stassi’s for lunch.

On the way back, I rode beside Pierson and we had a great conversation. Except we, plus a few people behind us, were like a breakaway peloton-lol. We cruised back at 17 mph, chatting away. Meanwhile Jeremiah stayed with the those who rode slower. Great ride. For me, 38 miles total. After the ride, this picture was shared with me:

A new bike adventure in the Bay Area. On Monday, Brenda and I drove to Richmond and parked at the ferry terminal. BarbaraL met us along with our support vehicle for the day, her husband Kyle and son Skye.
Our first stop was nearby.
