I picked up Carson and Avery after school. Carson gave me his Halloween candy bag and asked me to sort it. Chocolate to the left, everything else in a pile to the right. Meanwhile he played something online with his friend Hudson. We communicated with hand signals. I got a thumbs up for eating one Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup. He clearly communicated, “Do not take ANY Almond Joys.”

Meanwhile, Avery quietly did his homework, his stash to his right. Almond Joys also off limits.

The last two street ride days were Monday and Tuesday. Rockmont Circle is one of the best streets to visit at Halloween (also Christmas and 4th of July). These cyclists learned about the 1963 Hitchcock film The Birds – they had never heard of it – how the students at Bodega Bay School were attacked. Eek!!

The end of Project Ride Smart for 2023. The program starts up again at 3 different schools in March.
