Councilmember Lisa Kaplan and Jibe partnered on a community enhancement project called N Natomas Joy. There were 42 applications, each reflecting a joy of living in NN. But only one was focused on friendships created through bicycling. And here we are: Brenda, BarbaraL, me.

Our photographer, Derrell Baker:

At some point in the near future, our image will be on a street pole banner somewhere in N Natomas.
I hurt my left shoulder, not in the joint but a few inches lower on the outside. It was probably raking and shoveling walnuts followed by wrangling bicycles in and out the the container for Project Ride Smart. I finally went to the doctor who prescribed physical therapy and gave me a set of exercises to do at home which were available online with videos and instructions. My in-person appointment was today with an assessment of range of motion, etc. The big question: can I ride my bike? Yes (whew) but only 10 miles/day.

Improvement is happening, but very slowly. Four to six weeks to go. Also, a HUGE thank you to Justin who gathered the rest of the walnuts.

As the desserts came out, it was also time for …

bingo! Uncle Jeff was in charge. There were many great prizes to win. This is a family favorite.

I hope your Thanksgiving was also filled with family and happiness.
at N Natomas Regional Park.

A cold windy day with scattered rainstorms.

Councilmember Lisa Kaplan asked if a few commissioners could attend and interact with the public. Also there, Odet Ford – Parks and Community Enrichment Commission and Ayinde Fletcher – Youth Commission.

The weather got worse, the wind wanted to move the pop-ups, the event was lightly attended and no one came to our table. Thankfully, it was over after 2 hours.
