Walk to School Day at Regency Park

Our CELDT-testing team got a slow start today because of a big event sponsored by North Natomas Transportation Management Association (the same organization that hires me to teach Project Ride Smart). OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

After mass, we went to the fabric store, a Halloween store where Sophia was not so sure about some of the animatronics,

and picked up lunch at her favorite restaurant, In N Out Burger. She wanted to eat her lunch at her mom’s work.

Watching Sophia and Avery

I made a few small batches of play dough.

Avery’s ocean:

Avery tried tail-first and head-first, but the alligator would not go completely into the hole.

I might get into trouble for this one. American Ninja Warrior is one of their favorite shows, it’s the show on the tv. Avery made a course which ended with a leap from the arm of the couch to a pillow. Sophia jumped from the mantel. The goal was to get a mid-air picture of both of them.

I won’t let this happen again. I promise.

No trains this morning

Before Justin went to work this morning, he told me there wouldn’t be any trains going by. His crew had to practice closing the flood gates for the train tracks, therefore all north-south trains in/out of Sacramento were halted.

Let’s hope closing those gates won’t be needed this rainy season.
